the bear up there
I love the neighborhood we live in (Mount Pleasant, aka South Main). One of the best things, I find, is discovering the weird quirks and oddities in the area. Which brings us to the giant 7 foot tall chrome bear statue that sits on top of the roof of a local optometrist's office. I walk by it quite often, and one day I noticed they had given him a new pair of shades!... makes sense.
Now that's a clever way to advertise glasses! Fun post.
ReplyDeletehahah. Very funny.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool bear! I love it when businesses use their existing decor and add a little to it. There's a car repair shop that had 1/2 a Corvette on it. They put in a Santa waving and have it illuminated at CHristmas and there's a drilling compnay here that have an oil drill that they decorate as a deer for Christmas. It is of course, raing and lowering it's head!
ReplyDeletethe shades are a funny touch
ReplyDeletecool! i love that bear - nice to see he's gone and gotten himself some (prescription?) sunglasses. ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love the unexpected and that bear on a roof is surely unexpected!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty funny. The shades are the best part!
