welcome great pumpkin

We have been decorating our place with hints of Halloween-ness this past weekend. One of our fave things to put out on display, and which has become an annual tradition for us is our set of Peanuts figurines (note that they are figurines, and not "toys"... husbands get really touchy about that, FYI). I couldn't fit them all into the frame here, but you can see Chuck with his pal Lucy, Snoopy, Linus, Sally and Schroeder... and a sliver of the little red headed girl on the edge there. I can't wait until the special airs on TV! Maybe this year the Great Pumpkin will rise!

  1. Yay for Peanuts figurines ;)
Don's mom used to call his figurines, "his dolls" or "his men" which drove him insane. I think he would have preferred the term 'toys' over either of those.
So excited for this weekend's events!! WOOT! WOOT! I think we may have to rent "Its the Great Pumpkin" for our Halloween party now. xoxo

  8. I had always hoped that little Linus would someday truly meet "The Great Pumpkin" for I'm sure his little pumpkin patch had to be the most sincerest one around. But who knows, perhaps when Linus accidently dozed off for just a moment, that was when "The Great Pumpkin" made his presence.
