global warming?


So to my shock and awe... as everything green on our balcony is dying a slow autumn death... there is actually one plant that seems to be on its own clock... is this global warming? I actually have blooming flowers!... and believe it or not, these are from last easter! Believe me... this is an amazing leap for my attempt at a green thumb (things on our balcony have a 50/50 chance out here). Oh no, I hope they didn't hear that... oh, I hope I didn't jinx them... please don't die, please don't die little flowery friends!

    It looks lovely. Just relax and enjoy the pretty blooms as long as they last.
    I planted a number of veggies in containers and they look awful right now, if there was a SPCA for plants I'm sure they would sent somebody out to the take them away from me and put them into a foster home for abused plants. =D

    I once saw some spring flowers that had been planted out too early in autumn (as bulbs) and we had a hot spell, making them grow and flower in early November!

    Our forsythia bushes are blooming! It's crazy...just enjoy the beauty while you can!

    Love them!


    Save your poinsetas after Cristmas and set them on your balcony on the spring. They will turn into big lush green plants that need no green thumb to survive!

    They are lovely. I used to work in a garden center and I could tell people how to take care of plants but I couldn't take care of them myself. I have commitment issues :)

    I've got quite a few things blooming on my balcony, but then again it's still 80 degrees where I live. There are times when I just have to take my calender's word for it that it's really November.

    I was given an Easter Lily this year, and after it died and dried up, a new one started growing. It's still going strong.

    I guess resurrection's just the thing to do at Easter!
