cake pops

I had a chance to do some holiday baking on the weekend, since we were heading to a holiday potluck. So what to bake, when one is not really a baker?... cake pops! I saw the recipe on Bakerella awhile ago, and have always wanted to try to make them. And once I read that it uses cake mix, it sealed the deal. They turned out pretty good too... I decided to go with the pink, since it went so well with the chocolate cake centers. I think most of the guests sustained a sugar high for a few hours after eating these. Check out the recipe here.

  2. Those look very yummy. Seeing as I'm getting all ahead of myself and thinking about the peanut's next birthday party (in 6 months) I'll be making these instead of a big ol birthday cake!

  4. Since I am a chocoholic anything chocolate goes to the top of my list (and unfortunately down to my hips also).
The cake pops look adorable, and tasty and one would think they took hours and hours to make.

  5. Cool stuff! I love Bakerella, but I've never gotten around to trying to pops. I have no idea where to find the chocolate to coat them... I think she mentions chocolate bark, but where do you find the pink stuff??
