what a hoot!
I love owls and owl-y things... especially crafty owl things. Yes, I know, owls are really really popular and there are thousands of pages of them on etsy, but how can I resist... they are so darn cute! On the weekend, my brother-in-law gave us this embroidered wall hanging he nabbed at a garage sale for 50¢! Isn't it a hoot?... what a steal! You can't tell from the picture, but it is about 1 ft' x 2 ft in size. Now I am on the hunt for wall space in our place to hang this awesome piece of owl-y kitschiness.... it might just make its appearance in Bun's room (which is still a work in progress).
Oh I LOVE that!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a hoot! LOL
ReplyDeleteSo, do we need to make "Bun's" baby gifts owl related??? :-)

You lucky thing, that is amazing!
ReplyDeletethat is awesome--i have an owl crewel piece my grandmother did in the 70s that has similar owls in it--lots of fun and it hangs in my studio/office and makes me smile
ReplyDeleteOr you could sell it for $50 on etsy and put it in bun's college fund :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I worked in a cubicle hell once, and some anonymous person got a tacky vintage owl on felt painting and started hanging it in random cubicles. You never knew if that would be the day you got it with the owl. It was great!
Adorable and definitely a steal!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece of embroidery, you know it must have taken some time to create so 50 cents was indeed a steal!
ReplyDeleteIf the dimensions were more square it would make a lovely pillow too, but it'll also be precious hanging on the wall of the little one's room...sort of like guardian owls watching over baby.
That is so awesome! What a great find. :)
ReplyDeleteeek! LOVE it. so adorable. and what a deal!
ReplyDeletei love all things owl also... although it kind of makes me sad how "trendy" they are now... it is kinda nice to be able to find more cute owl-related stuff now ;)

ReplyDeleteOh my! These are adorable.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I'm crazy jealous of your owl wall-hanging! What a steal! :) i've been scrounging around in Van's thrift shops for cheesy/vintage needlepoints, lately - I just started to collect them for my bedroom wall. :) Too fun!
