oh gourd-ness!

I hope everyone up here in Canada had a great Thanksgiving long weekend! We had a great weekend with family and visits (ie. ate lots and lots and then complained about it afterwards), as well as enjoyed the very autumn-ey weather (woo-hoo, fall sweater time!). Thought I would share a pic of some gourd branches my sweet friend Carley (check out her blog Secret Squirrel) gave me the other day... aren't they pretty?... they almost look like tomatoes. Not sure if they are edible or not... I am thinking not... it always seems the prettiest plants tend to be the most poisonous and non-edible. Perhaps it's their way of luring prey in... mwahahahaha.

    Glad you had a good thanksgiving. I had the same problem as you eating to much then complaining about it...lol. Not sure I'm ready for sweater weater as then very quickly crazy cold & snow weather follows...lol

    I love them!! We celebrated our Canadian Thanksgiving while down here in the South. A tinge of homesickness but all in all a lot of fun. xo

    Those are gorgeous! I've never seen a plant like that - they look like a cross between tomatoes and peppers.
    We had our little Thanksgiving here in Ireland minus the pumpkin pie - I have to admit I was a bit homesick. :)

    Yeah one has to watch out for Mother Nature, she doesn't put warning labels on things. :)

    Love the gourd branches! They're so colorful. I've seen fake versions of plants like that at craft stores, but I didn't know there were real ones.
