collage: buried treasure

As a kid, I always thought it would be exciting to find buried treasure. I think it was more of the idea of actually finding it, rather than its contents that was the thrilling part... I mean, what is a little kid going to do with a chest full of gold coins?... (unless they were the chocolate kind, of course). Hmmmm... now I think it is quite the opposite... I have quite a few ideas (no shortage of them, actually) lined up in case I find buried treasure... a gal can dream, right?

  4. Ah since today is St. Patty's Day, maybe you could catch a leprechaun and get his pot of gold. ;)

We've all dreamed of finding buried treasure, perhaps that the child in us that gives us our dreams and the curiosity to imagine what adults might deem the impossible.

  7. I grew up in Texas and I use to bury "treasure" and then make maps on old grocery sacks. The map had to look authentic, I use to ask my mom if I could burn the edges. ha ha

It wasn't about the treasure, but the find, and I hadn't realized that until this post.

    Have a lovely one.

  8. I created a "pirate" theme birthday party for my little cousin one year. And we created treasure maps that would lead to a scavenger hunt until the pale of gold coins were found...It too fun.

  9. Strangely, I when I was younger the thought of finding buried treasure would scare the bleep out of me. It was all David Kell's fault when he said there were bones in them too.
