quest for orla
The long weekend was full of day trips for us. On the holiday Monday we decided to make a run for the border and do our day trip from Vancouver to Fairhaven and Bellingham, Washington. One of the things we can never resist, is venturing to the few shops that we don't have up here in Canada.... specifically Trader Joe's. (I'm so jealous that we don't have one yet... all that organic goodness and selection!). Despite our trunk being full of yummy snacks, candy and other epicurean delights, I made my husband take me to Target so I could see if they carried the Orla Kiely line (I couldn't resist after seeing it showcased on so many blogs). Got the last two brown pear coffee mugs in the store, and I love them!
So cute, I have been looking at it each time I go to Target and the selection is getting smaller and smaller...I better make a decision on a piece I want. :)
ReplyDeleteLove those cups! Our neighbor works for Trader Joes, lucky us! My sister and I used to do the border run when I lived in Vancouver. I just miss Canadian candy now like wunderbar, mr. bigs, mint aero, smarties and those are just a few.
ReplyDeleteThose cups are wonderful!! Hope they are big!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. I've never been that but it sound wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYeah - I saw an ad for her stuff but when I went in I didn't see anything as cute as those mugs.

ReplyDeleteOh sigh. Don't we love Orla? Have you seen her tablecloths/napkins? They make me swoon.
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping she does another line for Target!
Oh, goodness, Trader Joe's is like Mecca! Soooo cheap, and everything is so good, too!!
ReplyDeleteI love Orla Keily! And those mugs are fab, I can see why you had to make that extra stop :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cabin and Cub, Just catching up with my blogging friends, and saw this post. Trader Joe's just opened up near where I live, and it is ALWAYS packed with happy shoppers. Why more grocery stores don't take notice is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
