first pool day of the summer
The weather here has been fantastic this past week... perfect sunshine all day and every day... it finally feels like summer! On Saturday, we hit Kitsilano Pool for the first time this year... and it was great (well except for my husband's mild sunburn... need to get a higher SPF)! It's Canada's longest pool (137 metres/150 yards) and is a salt water pool (so no nasty chlorine). Situated on the water, it has a fantastic backdrop of the downtown skyline and surrounding mountains... obviously I didn't take this photo, but it is a great one to show what I'm talking about. Hopefully we can try and go once a week... I need to practice my sad swimming skills.
Ok. It's official. Greatest pool in the world.

ReplyDeleteMissing home! Why is Vancouver one of those places that steals your heart even when you are 1000's of miles away?
Wow! Cool pool, wish we had one like that where I live in England, it's sooo hot today!

wow! this is such a beautiful shot - I cannot believe the size of this pool. how many lifeguards does it have - surely there must be tons. - oh, and the orchids, to die for. I have one, which I've had for 2 yrs. - water it when I remember - and it just sent out 2 new blooms - go figure.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I want to swim in this pool!
