collage: caramel friends

It has been awhile since I have posted a new collage... so why not today? I thought this one would be appropriate this morning, since I am slowly packing up our house of the leftover holiday things (yes, a little late... but tree chipping isn't until this weekend, so we have left things up)... the tree decorations are coming down, stockings unhung, wreath stored away... and caramel apples fed to the baby birds. Okay, I am kidding about the last part, I'm not actually feeding caramel to birds... so please don't get all PETA on me... it is just a collage. Now I have to go and break the news to Mr. Christmas Tree about the upcoming chipping party.

  2. That's fun collage! I have been so lazy this Christmas. It is the 2nd Christmas that I spent in my new place and we didn't bother to take the Christmas tree out.. so much for festive mood. :)

    God Bless

  3. Caramel apples...yummm!!!! Just not for the birds! LOL

I still have decorations out too. I am waiting until I am home alone to put it all away. So I can get it lined up how it goes in the closet and then carefully store it away. I keep my Christmas decorated and in a walk-in closet. I should have someone video tape me walking the steel base on my left foot and lifting with my aarms! LOL

  4. For one moment, I thought that nest of baby birds was a celeriac root...caramel celeriac! Now there is a concept.

  5. Yep, they took my tree away this morning. Break it to him gently. This collage turned out very well.

  6. I like the look on the boy's face. Sort of sly and plotting :)

  9. caramel apple for the birds. I bet that's a little like feeding peanut butter to dogs and putting scotch tape on cats' feet. :)

  10. Gorgeous collage! You're not the only one who has Christmas things still around. I've been looking at my mantle piece with all our decorations on it and think I should pack those away. Do you think I've done it yet?......uh no!

  13. I'm sure the tree's will be happy to know that their life span will be expanded in the amount of space and time.

  14. Delightful collage, it definitely speaks to my perpetual love of caramel apples (which I readily admit to nibbling all year long, not just during the colder months - I'm addicted, I know ;D).

Wishing you a splendid Friday & weekend ahead,
    ♥ Jessica

  16. Heheh...Love it!!!

I am thinking of leaving our faux white tree up and adding red hearts for Valentine's Day. ;) It is too heartbreaking to take it down directly after all my family leaving.
In all seriousness though Don will probably take it down tomorrow. :(

Wishing you a happy Friday and a great weekend! xoxo
