99 red balloons

Some exciting exhibition news to share today. If you happen to be in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, check out the group show "99 Red Balloons" happening at canteen art shop + gallery! Remember that collage I posted about last week? It will be part of the exhibition along with other national and international artists until May 31st. I won't be able to make it halfway across the country to check it out... so, let me know if you happen to see it. Hope everyone has a happy long weekend!

    Congrats on having your collage included in the show! I wish I was a little closer but 3-4 hours is still a little far. One of my last memories of my grandfather is when he took me to the circus when I was about 5 and bought me the best balloon - a bunny head within a regular balloon. I was so thrilled to have it and as we got out of the car, the string slipped from my fingers and I watched it float away up through the big tree in his front yard. It's a moment that I'll never forget.

    Congratulations Val, it's a lovely collage. Wish I could check out the exhibition but being way down in Southern Florida makes it a little difficult. Maybe some lucky soul will be able to attend on your behalf and take some photos to send to you. :)
