two times the tulips
I am loving all the spring blooms around me... I think I have very heavy garden envy this year, since the only plants on our balcony this year are left over from last year, and I have yet to plant anything new yet. Eeep... really got to get on that! So again, these pics of these pretty tulips are not from my garden... these were outside our local museum. Hmmmm.... don't the top ones remind you of fancy cut radishes? Or maybe that is just the garden envy in me coming out again.
gorgeous~do you ever go down to LaConner? The tulips are amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! now that you mention it, I totally see the radish thing ♥
ReplyDeletethese are gorgeous .. tulips are one of my fav flowers :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteYou just can't be unhappy with all this colour around us this time of year, even if the weather is a little iffy :) T.
I love those, especially the dark ones. :0)
ReplyDeletevery pretty :) yay for Spring flowers
ReplyDeleteAhh I miss the West Coast for all of its flowers. Springtime there is just insane. Here it's cold and by comparison, pretty colorless!
ReplyDeleteoh beauty!! I love your tulips♥ Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love tulips. I have about 5 red ones in my front yard right now. Unfortunately they only stay here for about a month. I have a purple lilac tree in my back yard that's just started blooming, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous too! The rabbits ate all of my tulips before they bloomed. They just went down through the line and chomped off the heads. But these pictures remind me just how gorgeous spring can be!
ReplyDeleteI love tulips!
ReplyDeleteThey are my second favorite spring flower - daffodils take the top prize!
I am just about the plant some wild flower seeds in containers at my apartment... The 3rd floor doesn't give you much garden space!
Beautiful flowers make spring time allergies worth it!

ReplyDeleteI love tulips! All sizes and colors. I had yellows one this year...but sadly the rains took them too soon.
ReplyDeleteThe gardens in bloom right now are so impressive! I understand your envy.. I have vegetable garden envy. I don't even have a deck to plant tomatoes.
ReplyDeletei went to college in holland, MI where there is a HUGE tulip festival this time of year and acres of tulips! the history of the bulbs alone as currency in the netherlands is kind of amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love those eggplant colored tulips!
ReplyDeletePretty, I love two toned tulips!
ReplyDeleteSpring flowers really brighten up my day! So gorgeous. I love the top ones-they do look like radishes- very unique and beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous, i need to get my gardening on
ReplyDeleteI adore tulips...so bright and colorful, plus when they bloom, it means summer is just around the corner :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Val for tip-toeing through the tulips with us. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of beautiful and iconic springtime blossoms.
I planted a few bulbs last fall and for some funny reason they didn't come up this spring, so I cheated and planted grown tulips in my yard this spring. They didn't last very long, but I am counting my days until *next* spring, so I can see them come up again! ha!
ReplyDeleteLove the reds, and love the blend of purples too... so pretty! I think tulips are my favorite. there are so many lovely varieties out there anymore!
