I noticed yesterday that some spring blooms have suddenly appeared in front of our building... hooray! That means spring is on its way! Every time I see these types of flowers, I have an urge to go buy some Easter chocolate... yah, I know... waaaaay too early, huh?.... I must resist... don't think of chocolate, don't think of chocolate, don't think of chocolate...
ps. don't forget to enter the giveaway here... the draw is this Wednesday!
We have to wait a little longer for spring in Ottawa, but its a lovely sunny day today with a high forecast of -10 C. April 8th was when I photographed snowdrops last year here.
ReplyDeletehooray indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a taste of it in Sacramento a few weeks ago,it's back to winter now. I can hardly wait!!
ReplyDeleteWe aren't quite there yet, but the poppy seeds I planted a couple of weeks ago sprouted and are going strong. I'm going to have to divvy them into grow out newspaper pots soon!
ReplyDeleteSpring bulbs have such lovely blossoms. The iris is one of my very favorites, too bad that, as cut flowers, they are so short lived (and their bloom doesn't last all that long on the plant either).
ReplyDeleteHope Mother Nature is really going to give us spring and doesn't yank it away and give us a frost just as everything is in bloom and all pretty. She can be capricious at times. :)
I love it when I see the first of the spring flowers - a sign that winter is finally on its way out :)
ReplyDeletewow! we won't see anything like that here on Cape Cod for weeks if not months! we had snow here in New England today and it is freezing cold out there right now ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous, I love seeing the spring flowers come up! We are in the midst of a snowstorm, with over a foot of snow today. These photos give me something to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! Yesterday it felt like spring was coming and then today we are buried in snow once again!
