all you need is love
A new print to share with you today before the weekend (long weekend up here in Vancouver... woohoo!). Some colourful hearts just to remind you that “All You Need Is Love” (in the shop here). Have a happy weekend!

love makes the world go round
I am on a real illustration kick lately... not that I am complaining, of course. This makes up for those writer's block, well, in this case, artist's block moments that sometimes creep in and stay a little too long. Anyways, here it is... some colourful little hearts and love to brighten the day. Enjoy! (Check it out here).

hello hello
A bit of a lazy week for blogging this week, since we had a long weekend here for Canada Day this past weekend... and for some reason the mood has lingered. I don't even have the 4th as an excuse (Happy July 4th to those of you down is the US, btw). So, yes, it has been just pure laziness... well, just blogging laziness. I did work on a new art print... check it out here.

craftiness is happiness
I am admittedly addicted to crafting. I can't picture myself ever coming to a point where I am not making something... it is my little happy place. And thusly, a new art print is born! Craftiness is Happiness (available in three lovely summertime colours). Check them out in the Tiny Cub shop here.

sun print, rain print
Thank you to everyone who made suggestions of turning two of my greeting card designs into prints! Ta-Da... here they are. Just added to the Tiny Cub shop... my "Hello Sunshine" print and "Rain, Rain, Go Away" print. Oh yes, also wanted to mention that there will be a giveaway next week (not going to tell you what it is yet... will keep it a surprise)... stay tuned!

hey momma
Another new card design to share today... this one for Mother's Day. Ok, that day is still a ways away, but I just finished these last week and am kind of excited about the cameo design and needed to do a show-and-tell. I had trouble choosing which colour would be best, so I decided to offer it in both yellow and pink. Check them out in the shop here. Now, to brainstorm some ideas for Father's Day ones...

rain or shine
The weather here in Vancouver has been all over the map lately... rain, then snow, high winds, and sunshine... and that just happened in a course of one day! So as an inspiration, two new weather-inspired greeting cards in the Tiny Cub shop. Am thinking of turning these into larger prints for the wall as well... will wait and see what the feedback is first! ;)

new greetings!
I have been busy working on some new greeting card designs for the spring season... so this week I will be posting them here on the 'ol blog and listing them in my Tiny Cub shop. Here is the first batch... larger versions of my mini cards. Plus the larger cards now have that additional wooden touch... hooray for woodgrain! Will post more of the new designs Wednesday... stay tuned!

home sweet home

Now that the colder (and often times wetter) weather is here, I am finding that we are spending a lot more cosy days indoors. With that as an inspiration, I thought I would create a colorful illustration for our little abode. Check out the new Home Sweet Home 8.5 x 11 print here in my Tiny Cub etsy shop.

And what is she celebrating?Congrats on the win... and congrats on the 15 lbs too! Yipee!

july giveaway- win a tiny cub card set!
As promised, today is giveaway day... hooray! The loot this time will be a set of four cards from Tiny Cub... yes, you read correctly, you will get all four (as seen in the pic above). How sweet it would be to send your thoughts and affections with these babies.Enter to win by posting a comment telling me one reason you are celebrating... perhaps you just landed that corner office job and get to wear a power suit (shoulder pads are back right? heehee), or maybe you took the stairs today instead of the elevator and know you are working those skinny jeans, or maybe that special someone from across the room looked your way and smiled (like, full on smiled, and it was totally directed to Y-O-U!). Anyways, I am sure you all have lots of reasons to celebrate, so post your comment and you could be the winner!
A random draw will be made next Friday (August 5th), so check back to see if you win. Please remember to include some sort of contact info (etsy shop, blog, website, or e.mail address) and please only one entry per person. Good luck!

mini peek-a-boos

So as a continuation of my last post about my new etsy endeavour, I thought I would post up some more pictures of some of the new card designs... these ones are mini slide cards. Each card comes in a peek-a-boo slide envelope... so as you pull the card out, the full message and image are revealed (as shown in the second photo). These are the four designs I have so far... working on some more... so hopefully there will be more mini peek-a-boos to share with you soon. :)

new tiny venture

Not sure what possessed me to do it (temporary insanity?)... but I had been thinking of it for awhile. Ta-da! I am launching my new etsy shop called Tiny Cub! For awhile now I have been itching to do more illustration work and create a line of stationary that was separate from Cabin + Cub. No worries... my original store still exists and will keep on going... I just felt the need to have a separate storefront to focus on paper-y things. Here are a set of cards in the shop right now (yes, you will notice that tote bag design from the last post has been resurrected into card form). I will post more of my new mini cards later this week!
