blast from the past 2

I posted an early collage a couple of months ago, and got a lot of great response... so I thought I would post up another one today. It's from the same teen angst book of collages I made over ten years ago. While scanning it, a few pieces began to peel, and I am realizing that the crappy low-grade glue stick I had used is slowly starting to lose its stickiness.... the thought of trying to save this book is scaring me... scanning close to 200 pages of these things is going to be such a nightmare.... argh!

GaH!! But do it! Save the book!

I sometimes think about the notebooks (those thin paper ones with the map of canada outline on the back.. or spot to fill in your class schedule..) full of teen-angst poetry that i've thrown out over the years.. and wish that i'd saved them..

Your collages are fantastic.. keep them coming!

Love this, have you considered lamination?

Yeah, scanning all of them will be a task, but too priceless to let fall apart and not save in some way! TFS!

Save the work. When you're rich and famous someday you can do an "Early Works" coffee table book.

Let me tell you, I've scanned over 200 pages of collages (i'm also a nerd) and it's not that bad if you do something else while doing it - say, pick up the house while waiting for the scanner to process. Good luck!! :)

Thanks for the tips everyone!

Yes, lamination won't work, since they are all in a book (and double sided...yah wasn't thinking there)... so i don't want to rip them out. I like that coffee table book idea! ;)

But alas, I think I will start scanning small batches.
Will post more soon!
