crochet cutie

I have never figured out how to crochet.... at most, I managed a few rows and then sort of lost patience and abandoned my attempts.  My sister on the other hand has cracked the crochet code! Check out this sweet Snoopy doll she made for baby Cedar for Christmas. I will post what she made for Jasper soon.... more crochet cuties, of course.

christmas time is here...

One of our favorite holiday TV specials is the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. We love it so much that we have the cd soundtrack, as well as the figurine set (*note: they are "figurines" and not "dolls"... husbands don't like it when you mix these words up). They are displayed in our living room, bringing a little festive cheer. I couldn't fit them all into the frame (poor Sally and Schroeder are off to the side).. and we still need to get Snoopy and Woodstock. Hope they bring you some holiday cheer too!

welcome great pumpkin

We have been decorating our place with hints of Halloween-ness this past weekend. One of our fave things to put out on display, and which has become an annual tradition for us is our set of Peanuts figurines (note that they are figurines, and not "toys"... husbands get really touchy about that, FYI). I couldn't fit them all into the frame here, but you can see Chuck with his pal Lucy, Snoopy, Linus, Sally and Schroeder... and a sliver of the little red headed girl on the edge there. I can't wait until the special airs on TV! Maybe this year the Great Pumpkin will rise!

snoopy tattoo

This past weekend, my hubby Roger got a tattoo to celebrate his birthday. I have never actually seen a tattoo being done before, so it was very exciting! Since it was mostly black line work, there was no blood, thankfully (I can get a bit squeamish). On the inside of his left forearm, he got a trio of Peanuts characters (Snoopy being his favorite) in their Halloween costumes (his favorite holiday). Snoopy is even wearing a cute scary mask!
