craft clear out - part 3
Out with the old and in with the new! Ok, well… no new ones yet (still working on the designs)… but I am clearing out old stock. Only a few sets left of hand burned cork coasters… and each set is now 50% off, so only $6. Yes, that's right, the same price as one of those delicious fancy coffees (ie. whipped cake in a cup… you know the one). Perhaps these coasters can even be a new home for said fancy coffee… heehee. Check them out while they last in the shop here.

craft clear out - part 2
My craft clear our continues! Next up on the lot for sale are some cute wood burned memo boards. Each board is lovingly burned by hand and comes with a little wooden easel stand. They were originally $30, and now they are 50% off at $15. Now that we have two wee ones in the house, I am devoting less time to wood burning… wood burning and children… yah, you get the picture, not the best mix. Find them in the Etsy shop here, here, and here.

branching out
Some good news today... I have gotten the green light for two craft shows this spring season... yay! They aren't until April and May, so I will post news about them closer to the date. Riding on the wave of excitement, I was busy yesterday burning up a new batch of cork coasters... burn, baby, burn!

the bird has landed
The bird has landed! New in the etsy shop this spring are the bird mini cork boards I have been wood burning last month (see the old post here). I have finally got around to photographing them and listing them in the store. The little boards come with a matching wooden easel stand too! Fingers crossed these "fly" off the store shelves (sorry for that lame pun, but I couldn't resist). Happy Monday!

burnt fresh
I am working on some new burning projects for this season, one of them being the woodburned cork board. I had burned similar ones a few years ago and then took a break from doing them, but now they are back! I still have a few more to finish and then it will be etsy photo shoot time... will post more pics soon!

winter birch
Now that winter is just around the corner, I figured it would be a good time to introduce a new cork coaster design just in time for the holidays. Here it is... winter birch! Perfect for a nice warm cup of tea, cocoa or glass of red wine. Hmmm... can you tell I am in need of a cozy drink by the fire today... it is so cold out!

spring refreshment
I have signed up to do two craft shows this spring, so have been working on some new products. Ta-da!... this is one of them... new spring-influenced cork coaster sets. These sets include four coasters each made with 100% 1/4-inch cork featuring a new floral design burned onto them. I can't wait until the weather warms up a little more and I can set out a nice icy glass of ice tea... hmmm, on second thought, set out an umbrella drink on one of these. Check them out on my etsy shop here. Happy Monday!

coasting along
Craft production is underway full force over here... if you can see my workspace now, you would think a bomb went off in a craft supply store. It is dawning on me that the November days are going by very quickly, and that the two holiday shows I have signed up for are fast approaching, so I am getting a wee bit nervous. Since I am too embarrassed to take a picture of my mess of a table top, I zoomed in on one of the batches of cork coasters I just finished burning. Now to find energy to package them all...

more coasting coming your way
I got a fresh supply of thick cork last week, so am busy making some more woodburned (well, technically cork burned, in this case) coaster sets to replenish the dwindling amount I had left from the winter. I was surprised at how popular they were at the last holiday craft fair... so am glad I managed to track down enough supplies to make some new sets for my next upcoming craft fair in early May (will keep you posted about the event closer to the date). There are plenty this time, so I'll be putting some sets in my etsy shop too... check them out here! Perfect for Mother's Day, bridal showers, or for those who like to have a little fanciness sitting under their drinks. :)

who is the thirstiest? the winner is...
Hooray.... over 120 entries for the January giveaway... you all must be real thirsty, battling it out over these coasters.! To make the official draw, all the names were printed and dropped into the ultra tacky trophy cup, and one name was randomly drawn this morning by my husband Roger. He mixed and shuffled like a true pro and drew one name. And... the winner is..... Bonzai Beadwear! Congrats! And what will be gracing her lovely coasters? "I would put a cafe mocha on them, I like to mix a package of hot chocolate with my coffee." That sounds really yummy, I should have made part of the prize package a mandatory invitation to get invited to share the winner's drink of choice... there are four coasters in the set after all. ;)
Thanks again to everyone who entered! And don't fret if you didn't win and are holding your drinks in your hands, thinking of the rings left on your coaster-less table ... there will be another giveaway in February!

just coasting

I am bringing back an old classic! I haven't made these in a couple of years, but I managed to source down a small supply of extra thick cork and have made some sets of coasters for this holiday season. Each set comes with 4 coasters, each burned with an image of branches and blossoms. Makes a great housewarming gift, hostess gift, or festive touch to you home! I only had enough cork to make a limited supply... and quite a few of them flew off the tables at the last craft fair, so check them out here, before they are sold out! Also wanted to thank everyone who came and visited the table at Got Craft yesterday, my last craft fair for this season. The event was a huge success! Many thanks!
