collection: stamps

When my parents moved to Canada in 1975, the house that they were moving into was previously occupied by a divorcing couple. My mom had found an entire stamp collection thrown in the garbage by the ex-wife occupant (one of the many discarded remnants that had belonged to the absent ex). It sat in the closet for years, and since she didn't know what to do with it, the collection is now in my hands. In the past ten years, I have been adding stamps to the collection here and there. I really have no knowledge of stamps whatsoever, but they are all so pretty... I'm not sure what to do with them... perhaps frame them?

I think you should frame them, definitely. I love stamps and have a bunch of them framed in my house. What a lucky treasure.

Wow, what a wonderful thing to find! I'm sure you will find a creative way to use them :)

Oh I'm sure there are some fabulous things you could do with them! Make sure you don't have million dollar one before you glue to a lampshade, though.

Stamps are extremely beautiful and you can use them for all sorts of crafts as well. You may want to think of some as supplies, if you can part with any that is :P

Incorporate them in your collage work...they are great fun!

Dang, I was going to make that exact same joke about the lampshade. LOL.

That's a really neat hobby to have. I've always liked the idea of stamp collecting--it seems like such an intelligent pursuit.
