still on holiday mode

Perhaps it is all the Christmas yummy treats and dinners we have been having and family get togethers this past week and weekend, but I am still in holiday mode today.... hmm.... more like holiday recovery. I think I have enough sugar in me to sustain my calorie count for this entire week (writing this as I am nibbling on a left-over gingerbread cookie, yum). I hope everyone had a great holiday too! Will post new photos soon... I have been a bit lazy and distracted about getting them off the camera... ooh, is that another cookie?

I'm still eating food from Christmas. It never ends.

The Christmas goodies are slowly disappearing here, thank goodness! Happy New Year!

Same here. My Christmas was cancelled due to a blizzard so I have to eat all the food I was supposed to bring up to my extended family. Lefsa and cheesecake anyone?

We are on vacation and away from a home-baked stock of sugary holiday treats, but the Mister and I are still managing to eat lots of sugar calories!

I hear ya! I did some of my own baking, and Dev's aunts (famous for their baking) sent a ridiculously large plate of treats home with us. I'll be so relieved when their gone!!!

I am trying to ween myself off my hourly sugar intake :) I like the berries in this photo. It feels like you just wandered upon this scene.

I think we need a couple of extra months in the calendar. One between Halloween and Thanksgiving and the other between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That way we can spread out the sugar highs and recover from glucose comas before the next surge of sweet treats.

Mmm, cookie sounds good! I love all of the sweets that pop up this time of year. Hate for it to be over.

: ) I still have Christmas cookies too! My recipe yielded 113 this year, which I frosted in 17 different colors... yeah, it's a little insane.

Hope your holiday was delightful, ours was lovely!
