clinging on

The rain storms here yesterday have washed away a lot of the small spring cherry blossoms... but there are still a few pockets here and there clinging on... resilient little fellas. I'll have to take a neighbourhood stroll when the clouds part and see what else is blossoming in the area. For being really allergic to all these sprouting floral things, I can't help but be infatuated with them.... I guess, that is me living dangerously... ha ha.

They're gorgeous! Hang on little guys! I'm just as allergic as you are and I'm already addicted to Claritin. Oh, how I love pollen season.

I know. They are so gorgeous and intoxicating and yet so not fun for allergies. I just talked to a pharmacist who told me to start taking antihistamines 2 months before allergy season. Needless to say, I started far too late.

I have acupuncture for allergies, it has helped tremendously since I started about a year ago.
We have little forsythia buds on branches. Yay!

Oh, do try a nettie pot wash daily..pregnancy + allergies is the pits!! I had a lot of trouble during allergy season while I was preggo and wish I had known about nettie pots sooner..nice and medicine free :) Hope you get a walk in today!

Lovely, I can't wait for our crabapple tree to blossom, such a gorgeous sight! I get pretty bad allergies late August, and it just kills me, but like you, I live dangerously and continue to garden right through the constant sneezing!
Cheers!

We have a cherry tree by our front door that has tiny green buds but no blossom yet. I'm super allergic to this stuff too so know how that is. Already started on my claritin, eye drop and nose spray routine. :0)

Such a pretty picture, it is hard not to love the cherry blossom season...even with allergies !

Jenni's suggestion of using the nettie pots sounds interesting as does Lonesome Road Studio's suggestion about acupuncture. When you've got a little cinnamon bun baking in the oven you do have to be very careful of taking any type of medications. Hope this allergy season will be a very mild one for you.

I just get so jealous of the beauriful BC spring, but today, after working in my garden for a few hours, I did get to sit on my deck in the sun. I lasted for about ten minutes with the termperature around 11C, but the wind made it seem much colder.

The tree in our back yard is just starting to burst so yesterday's walls of water didn't affect us too much.

I think I sneezed just from seeing them on the screen but they are gorgeous.

I am so envious, here in New Hampsire we have nothing but a few crocus and lots of mud. The blossoms are lovely.

Love the photo! I am also quite allergic to Spring in general, but I love taking photos with allergy meds in tow :) Thanks for posting :)

I'm looking forward to the spring blooms, they haven't started to bud here yet, but then, we had frost yesterday.

I'm so ready for spring, blossoms, & no more winter coats

They are beautiful. Plants are opening up here too. I noticed a wild Bradford pear out back. Beautiful blossoms. Tulips will be blooming before too long. They are so magestic!

Have a wonderful day!
