lost little owl

I often discover something new or strange on my walks around the neighbourhood.... most of the time, I always think... "Argh! If only I had my camera with me!" Behold, this time I actually had the camera! Sitting on the trunk of an old tree, I spotted this cute little owl-y guy. A lost little pouch perched up and looking longingly for its owner. I felt compelled to leave it there, in case someone did come back for it... hopefully they were reunited. Hoot hoot and happy weekend!!

Aww! poor little guy! BTW, you're so sweet to leave it there (I probably would have grabed it for Devon...awful, I know)

I know what you mean--last time I forgot my camera there were 4 eagles flying over the water! Never leave home without it :) What a cute owl!

I thought for sure that was a posed shot. Great find! I hope the owner finds it! All of the most interesting things I see are laying on the ground, neglected. I get mad, too, when I see something great laying there and I don't have my camera!

Aww, poor little owl. I'll bet a little girl left her "purse" and is pretty upset about. I hope it finds it's rightful owner! Good for you to leave it.

When I first saw your blog photo I thought; "Oh, something from the front page of etsy". Etsy has become owl-aholics. LOL
Then I read your post. I'm sure someone is very distraught that they've lost the little fellow but it did afford you with a wonderful photo. I love the textures of the rough tree trunk and soft moss, you have an incredible eye for taking fantastic pictures.

I so want to get pics of these lichens growing on a tree outside a restaurant I was at this week.
That owl is a bit of a mystery, isn't he? I wonder where he came from.

Cute photo but so sad for Owlie to be lost. Or maybe he just ran away to have an adventure :)

Have a great weekend, T.
