magnificent magnolia

Things are blooming like crazy over here in Vancouver... so much so, that I actually got seasonal allergy symptoms over the weekend... in March!! Huh? I don't think I have seen and smelled so many blossoms so early in the year. I am prepared this year though... I got my prescription nasal spray yesterday, so am planning to enjoy these blooming beauties with clear eyes (and clear nasal passages)... so bring it on magnificent magnolia, bring it on!

Global warming does have some up shots. Early spring, for example. :)

Oh lovely! I've actually never seen a magnolia tree in person, I bet they are even more beautiful than in pictures!

Beautiful photo of a magnificent tree. In California we always called those pink magnolia trees "Tulip Trees" and for years and years I had thought that the only color magnolia blossoms came in was creamy white...but just like Molly Ringwald, magnolias are "Pretty in Pink".

gosh you're lucky, we're still waiting for blossoms here in the UK. ive noticed a few crocus' and leaf buds... still acting like winter here which is frustrating!

Are you sure you're living in Vancouver and not paradise??? All the photos of snow, beautiful flowers, sceneries.. Why do I not get anything like this (or anything closer) in Singapore. :( Now I certainly got to add Vancouver on my to-travel-list.

Blessings,
Rheea

beautiful :) In Albuquerque spring comes early most of the time. We had a mild winter but I am glad spring is here! I also am so glad I don't have many allergies, the juniper is killer.

Love your photos, as always!

Magnolias are my favorite! I've always thought they looked like trees full of tulips. They are really doing well this winter here in Vancouver aren't they?

I love the blossoms, love the leaves in Christmas decorating, and love that it's a tree. Glad you got your squirt on before all the pollen

*sigh*

we planted a yellow magnolia in our yard a couple of years ago, and I *think* she is finally going to bloom this year, but it hasn't happened yet. I can't wait to see it!
