up on the wall

Some arts fartsy-ness today. Every once in awhile, my hubby Roger trades some of his artwork with other artists from around the world... so, today, I thought I would share one of the newest additions to our home. We received this awesome print (blue one on bottom left) from Don Pendleton, best known for his skateboard designs for Alien Workshop. Oh, I guess I should mention the title... "Death Rattle". We have hung it with some of the other work in our house... bottom right is a silkscreen print from Michael Sieben , and above two are Roger's own photo prints of skate decks. My dream is to have more wall space to display more art... but until then, I think this is a good start.

Oh, I love those! It's a wonderful thing to fill your house with art that makes you happy, and that's a great grouping.

The color combinations are great! I can't wait till I move in the summer to my first real apartment with my boyfriend and we get to make art displays like this one!

Awesome collection you got there! That's pretty cool that your husband gets to trade his art pieces for other art works. What a great way to give and take! Everyone's happy and everyone's life is a little bit richer.

great artwork, that's a cool idea roger has showcasing the skateboard decks, seeing the wear and tear on them is facinating.

They look great clustered together in this small showcase - it really gives you time to appreciate each one as an individual piece - yet also take them in as a whole. I LOVE the 'Death Rattle'.

Best,
Tara

Very cool! Love that idea too. And this is so weird because that's the second time I've read about Alien Workshop in the last hour (first was an article about Burton Snowboards moving production out of Vermont to Austria -- they own AW). Odd.

I love it! Your space looks really nice, which reminds me that we've really got to get our prints and wall decorations up in this house. We've only lived here for 2 months now. ;-)
