mmmm.... butter

We celebrated my sister's birthday over the weekend (she just moved back into town from Ontario, so better celebrated in person rather than over a long distance, even if a bit belated). Nothing like a good family dinner followed by a selection of colourful pretty cupcakes (we got these ones at Butter on Dunbar in Vancouver). Hard to choose which one to eat, hmmm... or more like, hard to choose which one to eat first. ;)

Ooh, yum. I'm torn between the coconut and the green. The chartreuse intrigues me - is it pistachio on top?

Coming from a place with a name like "Butter" those cupcakes have to be yummy. To me frosting or icing just isn't the same if it's not made with real butter. Yeah, I know it's not all that good for you but when I want a cupcake, I want a real cupcake. :)

Looks like your sis had a lovely birthday even if it was a bit belated ... being with family always makes a birthday much more special.
Uh, doubt that there are any of those tasty cupcakes left, are there ?
