stamp of approval
Awhile ago I posted about organizing and framing some of my stamp collection. Well, I am glad to say a little progress has been made! I have completed two of the series so far... a red collection and a green collection, both framed in square birch frames. The series will eventually also include a blue, a yellow/orange, and possibly a purple collection... although that leaves me with an uneven number... so maybe a grey/black collection maybe needed as well to round the entire series out. Am working on the next one now... and it's a bit slow going since each stamp is mounted one by one... will keep tracking the progress as it goes!

you so clever! :)
Wow, those are lovely.
I wonder if you could create prints from those and sell them.
this is a really awesome idea and way of using and displaying a collection. I have been doing similar things with little pictures and items of my grandparents...in my house right now it is use it or lose it...i love what you've done!
incredible! Very nice displays.
so so so awesome :D :D from that I was wondering how many boxes of stamps you have collected?? Must be piles!
Very cool!
I love the finished look...you're going to have quite the series when you are done.
Happy Friday!
Wow - I love how they are turning out. What a good idea. I can't wait to see the all of them together.
whoa! those look really great! I can see how a whole wall of diff colored set would look pretty amazing! are the frames covered in plexiglass or anything or just open?
I would never have thought stamps could look so beautiful! What a brilliant idea!

What a time intensive task but a true labor of love. It looks fabulous. Will you be mounting the finished sets at a gallery or is this strictly for your own enjoyment, 'cause it would look wonderful in an upscale gallery !
Wow! beautiful, how time consuming!! you must have alot of patience.

Wow! You're amazing!
We collect stamps but have never really decided how to display them. I am going to show this to my husband.
Are you using acid free glue, or those little sticky tabs, or some other method to adhere them?
Love the final artwork/stampwork. May I ask how you mounted the stamps, I'd like to try a similar project. Thank you.
