kitchen revamp

So the day had finally come... when we said goodbye to our old nasty kitchen counters and sink and brought in the new... hooray!    The bowed warped laminate counter accompanied by very 90s white (well, what once was white) sink was starting to draw a lot of profanities on my part whenever I stepped into the room. So we finally decided to take the plunge put in silestone tops and a brand new modern sink.

I have already caught myself several times now just standing in the kitchen and polishing the counter with a soft cloth as if it were a new car.... breathing in that new kitchen smell.

Next part to tackle is the backsplash. As you can see in the photos, they are looking mighty absent at the moment.

Lovely and clean lined looking! We have granite that I love, but we had old 80's oak cabinets which were less than ideal. No budget for new cabinets so we painted them last year. It was a ton of work but so worth it to have that fresh "new" kitchen!

Enjoy!

It looks GREAT! We have a white sink (and I hate it). I badly want a stainless steel sink. =(
Your new counters are lovely (we currently have tile - which I am also not fond of). Makes me want to get some new counters and a nice sink!

Industrial and sleek -- love those counter tops! We updated our kitchen several years ago and it still makes me smile!
