A new illustration and addition to my etsy shop to share with you today. I decided to start a new series based on items and collections I have in my drawers... albeit a more stylized, clean and organized illustrative interpretation of what is actually there. This one is the first of the series so far, called Sewing Drawer 1. I'm working on another based on my knitting and crochet items, so will update on that one soon! I have made a bit of progress with collaging this week... am almost done a few... just a few more illustration-ey bits to add to finish them up. Here is a tiny bit of a teaser... will reveal one of them in its entirety next week after it is done! Intrigued, aren't you? Ooooh, the suspense... and over the long weekend too (well, if you are in Canada, like me, and celebrating Thanksgiving). Happy Weekend! :)

N.E.E.T is a quarterly online magazine that showcases grassroots creativity... everything from tons of fashion, independent designers, to awesome craftiness. Oh yes... and it's free! Recently I had the exciting opportunity of creating the artwork for Canadian country music singer Jessie Farrell and her new single. Not only did I get to do the artwork for the single, but I also got to do the artwork for the cute animated ecard that you can send to your friends, lovers, spouses, family... or whoever in your life. To experience the interactive illustration/ecard click on www.jessiefarrell.com and then click on the "Send Ecard" button - rolling over bits of the carnival picture will reveal little animations!
