pretty petals

Our patio garden is slowly perishing as the weather is getting colder, so we're having to enjoy our indoor plants now. Just got this pretty orchid from the parents, who are orchid obsessed... er, I mean orchid aficionados. I am glad they are really into orchids and not spider plants - not that there is anything wrong with those plants - they're just not as exciting, in my eyes, as these pretty petals.

I love orchids - and they seem to be much easier to keep alive than many other indoor plants :)

They are lovely, what a sweet present. Yes, I would much rather have a gorgeous exotic orchid rather than a spider plant only because I have never killed a spider plant ... instead I'd end up rooting all those little baby plants and had spider plants coming out of our ears. LOL They seem to lose their attraction when they are so prolific and practically indestructible.

Orchids are so beautiful. There are many times I've gone to buy one but I seem to kill every plant that I've ever come home with.

Valerie, I am so jealous, I just have a spider plant (He! He!)

I might have pretty flowers outside but I do not trust myself with pretty inside.

Your plant is gorgeous, so cheery, thanks for sharing, Have a lovely day T. :)

Yeah, I have to agree, orchids are much more exciting than spider plants. Spider plants are like ficus trees with white lights... blech.

I love orchids and they get such a bad rep for being hard to care for. All of the ones I've owned have had blooms that last months. They are so beautiful!
