This was Jasper's first Halloween. So after much contemplation, we thought it would be fun if he dressed up as a character from one of our favourite children's book, Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Since my sewing skills are subpar, I cheated a little bit – I only made portions of the costume (the tail, claws and crown). I can't take credit for the white snuggy suit part... I can thank Old Navy for that portion... so, in the end, Jasper was able to roam wild in his little costume without me having to worry about it falling apart. Hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! ;)

My childhood costumes were never that amazing! He's going to have so many fond memories as he grows up. And he's so cute!
Too fun...you did great job!!
Happy Halloween!
what a cute idea, and made so much more easy by altering the little old navy snuggie. he really is getting big!
WOW! How adorable is that?!?!?!
Jasper looks so content and snug. What a great way to spend Halloween.

So cute! The costume looks adorable on Jasper :)
I'm all up in the partially home made costumes. Jasper as Max is perfect!

how adorable!!!! Look at his little smile in the last picture. squeee!
When i worked at a preschool I forced the kids there to listen to Where the Wild Things Are everyday. By the end of the summer they knew all the words by heart
That is ADORABLE! What a clever idea! You are so creative. :)
One of my favorite books ever! Jasper is a very cute Max :)Thanks for sharing!
so darling!
That is so cute! He sort of has that same mischievous look as Max too (in that last pic).
Brilliant costume - too, too cute!
I think Jasper's costume was delightful. My grandson loves
that book! I have to admit...it's one of my favorites too! ha!
What a marvelous way of capturing the feeling of Jasper's Halloween character, puts him right in the action. The way you've photographed him reminds me of some of Anne Geddes work. Have you thought about making a line of cards from your photos ? I think these and the one of Jasper on the skateboard would be a big hit with card buyers.
But then it is hard to pass up something with sweet, cuddly babies and toddlers on them. :)
Jasper is so cute. You did a great job with his costume.
Omg!! These pictures are too cute! :)
Oh my goodness, what a cutie! Brilliant idea to embellish a preexisting little suit. I bet that saved a lot of time, too! ^_^
