a wild halloween

This was Jasper's first Halloween. So after much contemplation, we thought it would be fun if he dressed up as a character from one of our favourite children's book, Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Since my sewing skills are subpar, I cheated a little bit – I only made portions of the costume (the tail, claws and crown). I can't take credit for the white snuggy suit part... I can thank Old Navy for that portion... so, in the end, Jasper was able to roam wild in his little costume without me having to worry about it falling apart. Hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! ;)

When i worked at a preschool I forced the kids there to listen to Where the Wild Things Are everyday. By the end of the summer they knew all the words by heart

What a marvelous way of capturing the feeling of Jasper's Halloween character, puts him right in the action. The way you've photographed him reminds me of some of Anne Geddes work. Have you thought about making a line of cards from your photos ? I think these and the one of Jasper on the skateboard would be a big hit with card buyers.
But then it is hard to pass up something with sweet, cuddly babies and toddlers on them. :)

Oh my goodness, what a cutie! Brilliant idea to embellish a preexisting little suit. I bet that saved a lot of time, too! ^_^
