this takes the cake

As soon as I took a bite of this the other night at L'Abattoir, I knew I had to blog about it... it was sooooooo good! Excuse the photo, I had to use my phone and it was very dim mood lighting in the restaurant... so this was the best I could do with no flash. Ok, ok... so what is this best dessert ever? Apple and olive oil cake with honey ginger ice cream and green apple granita. I literally had to refrain myself from licking the plate afterwards (I shake my fist at you "social etiquette" and "manners").

Okay so that sounds so good right now! Good thing I already ate or I would be suffering.

And, that is actually a pretty decent picture for bad lighting AND using a cell phone :)

That sounds - and looks - delicious! Ginger and apple are a great mixture. Wonder you managed to restrain yourself to even take a pic of it!

Thanks for your comment re the camera on my blog at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com. Admit the idea of fishes eating yours in a lake is amusing: how about they might be snapping themselves?

Never thought I'd become reliant on one, but that's what happens when one joins Etsy and starts blogging! Here's to hearing from you again soon - cheers!

Ooh, delicious! At home I always lick my plate! Well only after deserts that are just too good to miss the tiniest crumb of. This though I probably would've licked in a restaurant too;)... or just tried to get to every last bit with my spoon.

The photo looks terrific as does the desert and some deserts are truly just too good to let even the very last smudge go to waste. :)
