craft table revamp

This past weekend was the Got Craft show, so I thought I would share some pictures of my table. This season I decided to revamp the look of everything… partly from being super bored with the old display and partly because parts of the old display broke. Out with the old and in with the new! I decided on a rustic outdoors-y look, so gone was the white table cloth and in its place some cozy grey felt. I found some wooden crates at Michaels and after buying them over a period of a few weeks (with that darn coupon they only let you use once a day… yes, I am that weird when it comes down to 40% off), I stained them a dark brown. The cute little blackboard signs were from Michaels as well… they are so cute, I might have to go back and get more (with coupon of course, haha). Oh, and the pinecones you see were foraged by Jasper… yes, I even got my kids starting to help out with the decorating. ;)

swag magnet

It's almost show time! One more week until the Got Craft Spring Edition. My workshop is in high gear trying to get everything ready for the weekend show… and that includes preparing the swag that will be handed out to the first 50 people to the show (each swag bag has tons of goodies in it from each of the vendors… so if you are coming to the show, get there early!). The swag I made for this show are little wood apple and pear magnets - a little wooden touch for your stainless steel appliance. ;)

oh, show fun

Just wanted to thank everyone who stopped by my booth at Got Craft over the weekend! This past week has been a bit crazy, I realized baby-brained me didn't even post the show announcement.... ack! (and when I say baby-brained, I truly mean it... the count down is now 4 weeks until baby arrives). Check out some more cool shots of the show on Poppytalk here. I'll be taking a break from shows until the coming holiday season, since, well... it will be baby time, of course. :)

a little swag

I am preparing for the upcoming Got Craft show... so production mode here is buzzing. Each show always has the coveted free swag bag for the first 50 people through the doors... and they are chock full of goodies from all the vendors at the show. They are so popular in fact, line ups are early... as in there is already a huuuuuuge line at 8am in the morning when all the vendors arrive to set up for the show (the show doesn't even start until 10!)

Anyhoo, what to make for this year's Cabin + Cub swag? Here is a sneak peek! Ta-da.... some little 1-inch laser cut bamboo pins. A nice little way to say “Hi”. Swing by the show and try to score one.

craft recovery

Apologies for the late post, but had to take a few days there to recover from the Got Craft event on the weekend... it was a great event, but I must admit, I was really tired afterwards! Throw into the mix, Jasper's sudden night waking now that his two top teeth have decided to make their appearance, and it will be a miracle if this post is not riddled with typos and bad grammar. Anyways, just wanted to thank everyone who came by for a visit! This is my last show until the fall, so it will give me some time to focus on the online shop and work on some new products! Yay!

crafts on mother's day

This Sunday will be my first mother's day!... and I'll be working the Got Craft show! Honestly, I thought Mother's Day was next weekend and didn't realize it fell on the same day until I was informed by the hubby... oops! (How is it I got the date wrong... argh!) Thank goodness that this is one of the best shows of the year and is always lots of fun to do. So if you happen to be in Vancouver, swing on by for a visit... there are over 55 vendors and the first 45 people through the door get a much coveted swag bag full of goodies. Perhaps even pick up that last minute gift for the mom? Hope to see you there!

got craft?

I can't believe it is finally here... my first holiday show for the season... oh, where has the time gone! Apologies for not blogging more lately... I have been in crazy production mode this past few weeks (and I have the craft explosion in my house to prove it). This weekend I will be at Got Craft in Vancouver, featuring 50 local handmade artists, a DIY table and free swag bags for the first 45 people through the door. Yes, you read that right FREE SWAG! But do come early if you are trying to claim one of the 45 swag bags... there is quite a line-up every year... and no one wants to see two craftistas wrestle over the last bag whilst wielding knitting needles... that would be very un-holiday like. Hope to see you there!!

sweet swag

It has been super hectic lately since I have been gearing up for some upcoming holiday craft shows. My first show is this coming Sunday (Got Craft). Every event, each vendor at the show contributes some crafty items to fill the swag bags that are given away to the first 50 entrants. Here's a sneak peak at some of the sweet swag I am contributing... some cute mini cards! Check out all the other swag everyone has contributed here. Too bad I'm not eligible to get one of these bags! I'll post more details of the show soon!

craft fun and sore feet

Hope everyone had a great weekend! A couple of photos to share with you today of my table at the Got Craft event yesterday... it was busy busy busy! There were so many cool crafty items and vendors... it was great. My feet were killing me by the end of the day though... and my face hurts from smiling and greeting people... I feel like I'm suffering from craft fair hangover, but it was still fun nonetheless. Thanks to everyone who came by for a visit! Off to put my feet up now!

sweet swag

I have been busy with production for the upcoming Got Craft event coming up in early May, Vancouver's largest indie craft fair. Yesterday, I finished making all my swag. Swag???... you ask? Oh yes, the first 30 people through the door receive a free, yes F-R-E-E, swag bag stuffed with crafty goodies from all 55 vendors. These swag bags are so coveted in fact, past fairs have resulted in line-ups around the block from attendees just wanting to get one! So here is a sneak peek of the swag I am putting into the bags.... bookplates! I have put together little pairs of bookplates for each bag! Hope you can come visit!
