ancient chinese secret

Roger and I visited one of my favourite places in Vancouver over the weekend - the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden, an authentic representation of a 15th Century Chinese garden smack in the middle of Chinatown/downtown. It was nice to have a zen moment away from the hustle and bustle of the city and felt like we were whisked away to another land... like a mini vacation in our own city.... ahhhhhhh (that is my relaxing sigh, btw). Unfortunately my "ahhhhh" is now turning into "ugh!", since the weather here has now turned for the worse this week... rain, rain and more rain... and it's washing away my zen!!

rain here too. let's just hope we continue in our pattern - rain all week, beautiful sunny weekend!
for those of us trapped in an office all week (me. ugh.), this isn't all that bad of a scenario...:P

It does feel like the sun is ever so fleeting at the moment. The trick is to find the Zen with rain ;)

So tranquil! I haven't been there in years but it is a haven. We have a beautiful Chinese Garden here in P.Town and I love to go there. I love all the "Rooms" and the amazing vistas in such small spaces. T. :)

That place is amazing isn't it?

The only time I went though was when I was a parent chaperone to my son's grade 5 class.

I'[ll have to go back when I soak it in rather than chase a bunch of crazy kids :)

Looks wonderful and zen.
We seem to be having the same rain and overcast skies down here in Michigan (it's nice to be able to say "down here" every once in a while :) )
