in the tree tops
I always wanted a treehouse when I was growing up... perhaps it was after seeing those little Ewoks in the Return of the Jedii movie... only problem was that there were no large trees on my parents property. Fast forward years later, and I got to live out my treehouse dream.... well, sort of. Last week, Roger and I visited the UBC Botanical Garden to venture on the Greenheart Canopy Walkway, which is basically an aerial trail system that hangs up high in the forest tree tops. (You can see me walking on it in the top photo... a bit camouflaged though, since I wore a green jacket that day... oops). It was very cool to see the forest from a higher vantage point, smell the fresh air, and listen to the various birds all around us. The whole trail is very cool, so check it out if you happen to be in Vancouver and ever had treehouse dreams or want to feel like an Ewok.

That's awesome, but I'll keep my feet on the ground, thank you!!!!
That looks amazing but I suffer with vertigo so not sure my legs would carry me. :0)
how cool!! my friend growing up had a three story treehouse. It was like a real house in a tree, I was always so jealous!
I've always wanted a tree house of my own, but alas, no trees have been big enough where I've lived.
I have heard though that there is a tree house B&B on Salt Spring Island. Maybe you've been to it?
Lucky girl! I love it there. Treehouse living would be incredible.
So cool! I always wanted a tree house when I was a kid, too!
I will be sure to look into this when I come the Vancouver! Beautiful photos and I love the idea of seeing the forest from a different view. Oh, I wish I could walk across right now!

Oh how awesome! I would absolutely love that; so magical!
now that you mentioned the ewoks, i think that might have been my subconscience reason for loving treehouses and forests!
awesome! I've been on something similar at the capilano suspension bridge but now I want to try this one
Very cool! It looks so beautiful I would love to do that!
I also always wanted a cool tree house when I was a kid- maybe someday :)
that looks awesome! i can just imagine an ewok city just outside of the camera lens :)
we are going camping this weekend and i can't wait to get out among all those trees!!
I had no idea there were places like that...that's sooo cool! I would love to go. Too bad my husband is afraid of heights and would probably be nervous the entire time!
Wowza...that looks so awesome! Definitely adding to my adventure "some day" list :)
Lucky! That looks like so much fun!
What an amazing place. You are very brave. I got whoosy just looking at the photos.
Looks like any kid's dream come true!
That looks like so much fun! I so want to do this. On the bucket list it goes. Thanks for posting!
Yes it does look like fun ! Can almost smell the fresh, cool forest air tinged with the fragrance of pine and fir. Talk about relaxing aroma-therapy !
Brilliant! Looks like a great time.
Cool! I also loved the Ewok movie (the rest of the movie wasn't that important, was it?). I'll have to check out these Botanical Gardens in this beautiful sunny weather we're having!
