may giveaway! - win a cute mini bird notebook!

I'm in full late spring clean mode over here... hmmmmm..... or maybe it is my nesting instinct starting to kick in. Regardless, it is time to clear out some of my old classic craft inventory. So perfect time for a giveaway! This month I am giving away a cute little mini lined notebook (3.25 x 5") featuring one of my little bird illustrations. This is the last one in this style, so I never got around to listing it on etsy... but, alas, time to make way for the new... so it must go!

Enter to win by posting a comment telling me one thing you have done this year in your spring clean mode. Did you organize your bookshelves in alphabetical order? Did you finally donate your high school prom dress to goodwill? Or maybe you just pushed many items further under the bed to get them "out of sight"... that counts right?

A random draw will be made next Monday, May 31st, so check back to see if you win! Please remember to include some sort of contact info (etsy shop, blog, website, or e.mail address) and please only one entry per person. Good luck!

I completely redid my office and studio, and donated a bunch of clothes to goodwill. Other than that I haven't done much cleaning... but I really should.

I bought some more canisters to put my dried beans in instead of keeping them in the bags!

Well if stripping out an old kitchen and throwing out tins, packets of food stuff that was way past sell by dates and then rearraging them all again. Does that count:) Great giveaway

I cut my possessions in half this spring in order to get ready for a cross-country move in July. I hope that counts as cleaning.

I just spent hours and hours this past Saturday cleaning out our garage. We moved into our first home 6 months ago, and well, never really bothered to paw through all our stuff from various long term storage situations...so thank you, Salvation Army, for coming to pick up loads of stuff from my house this weekend! :)

ps - i was COMPLETELY dreading this chore, but it actually turned out to be fun. go fig. :P

I put away my winter clothes and switched out to summer clothes. I know, that doesn't seem like much but I am one of those girls who save everything-even though it hasn't fit in years. This year I donated probably 8 large black bags of clothes to charity.

I did a deep clean of the whole house! Felt awesome, but now I'm trying to maintain!

Oh my goodness.... where to start?
we always go crazy this time of year. One of the major accomplishments this spring was the building of our backyard deck. I also went through all of my magazines and cut out only the pages that I needed... then put those pages into plastic sleeves in binders. Looking through the binders is VERY inspiring!

What a cute book! The only thing I really did was get a new storage container for all of my beads, it was much needed and cleared up a lot of space on my work table.

What a delightful illustration!

I actually ended up hiring a professional clutter-reducer person for 3 hours in order to plow through the messy mess which transitioning my bedroom into my workroom created. We got rid of LOADS of stuff and found $200 hidden away in an envelope too!

Haven't done anything yet, but I'm in negotiations for a studio space, and then I can get all my fabric tha's stashed in every corner and every drawer in my house. AARRGGHH! I want it out so my own living space can be clean and organized. I have nowhere to put all my stuff in my little apartment.

Last week, I cleaned my kitchen...like super cleaned. I even moved the microwave, cleaned cords, took everything out from under the sink, condensed bottles of cleaners, wiped every surface (including the stove hood) and steam mopped the floors. It was a glorious 5 hours :)

Julia said...

We just moved into a new apartment, so I've been in full on scrubbing mode. Unfortunately nothing really got cleaned before we moved in, so we've had to do everything, going around with old toothbrushes to get the grunge out of all the cracks. It sure is nice when something is done though!

Hey cool, we're both having giveaways right now! This notebook is precious too. I've done spring cleaning in a variety of ways this year, but most of it has been associated with moving. We've been settling in, rearranging, and attempting to organize our stuff as we go. It's so fun!

I sent my sister-in-law a box of gently-used baby clothes from my stash. She's pregnant with her first wee princess, and we had to clean out some of Miss C.'s clothes to make room for storing the ones Master W. has grown out of. :)

I finally put closet organizers in my closet! Emptied the entire thing out, and got to work removing the upper shelf to raise it higher and then assemble the kit of parts. Now everything has a place and nothing's on the floor! And goodwill won out too so that always feels good! : )

Ahh spring cleaning!

I'm currently in the process of sorting through TONS of things from a recent move, so most of my efforts have been aimed at minimizing 'stuff'. I'm preparing for a garage sale later on this summer, and also packing things up for a huge thrift store run!

i keep having to reorganize my craft area AND my food pantry! I am not naturally organized so it takes quite an effort to do but eventually tends to return to disorder! It does feel really good during the "still organized" time!

miranda said...

spring cleaning, eh? does moving during the spring count? we moved in march and POOF - mega cleaning, of the scrubbing variety and also the organizing, tossing, good-willing and other types too.

and last night - reorganized the pants part of the closet. it's funny how quickly disorder overtakes a perfectly ordered space. to avoid being crushed by toppling piles of pants i got rid of some, stashed some, refolded the rest. ;-)

For my spring cleaning fever, I ended up going to my mom's to help her and her boyfriend do home improvement!
I helped tear down drywall and put up new wooden panels, lay down new floor, tear down and put up a new shiny tin roof (which I fell through the origional one while trying to demolish it...:( )
Two weeks of straight construction and the house is looking better than ever!
Lots of work to do more, but now my focus is back to my own house and my tons and tons of beading supplies that need organized and weeded out.
