puff n' stuff

So I had to give in the other day and finally buy a new pair of shoes. After being pretty symptom-less for most of the pregnancy, I have started to puff up and swell for this last month... ugh! Seriously?! My hands and feet look like they belong to the stay puff marshmallow man! So here is my new purchase... a summer pair of slip-ons in one whole size larger... sigh. 3 more weeks to go!... I hope I don't get any puffier!

I went puffy too. My Mom suggested to lay on the floor or the bed and put my feet up as high as I could get them for as long as I could.

I went to the community pool on a daily basis too, the water made me feel lighter and cooled me off. I went with flip flops and wore them for the last month of the pregnancy and all the way into fall.

Oh Valerie, hope it isn't painful!

Definitely put your feet up when you lie down have them slightly elevated it helped me, it is pretty common I think for women to go up a shoe size while pregnant. Hopefully they will go back afterwards.

Not long now, how exciting!

Have a wonderful weekend :) T.

Valerie the last month is always the hardest and unfortunately seems to also be the longest. Elevating your feet will help improve the circulation and relieve some of the puffiness. I'm sure at this stage you're seeing you OB about as often as you see your best friend but you may want to ask about the puffiness at your next visit, your doctor may have some suggestions.

I wouldn't mind being one shoe size bigger. Than I'd be a 6 and could walk into any shoe store and say, "I'll take one of everything because I'm a standard size!" I think your shoes are very cute. I would keep this picture so that years from now when Bun is a teenager you can say, "How can you do this? I got puffy feet for you!"

Aww, so sorry about your feet. If it's any consolation, your new shoes are adorable. I've heard soaking in epsom salt can help with swelling, maybe give yourself a well-deserved pampering!

Poor you! Hoping the swelling goes down and you have a more comfy time of it for the last weeks, if that is possible at all. Take some pampering time for you. xo

Not too long to go, that is the ONLY thing that my daughter didn't suffer from! lol! It's rest time now until the baby is born, go for it! Blessing to you and your family!

Hang in there, it can get tough towards the end. BTW-I want to see those baby leg warmers, that sounds like such a cute gift.

I got the same thing with my first child... at about 37 weeks... and he was born about 4 days later. So, be prepared!
I agree with those that suggest to put your feet up! :)

Oh lordy they will go down ! When I was pregnant with my twins I could only fit into flip flops - the really cheap rubber kind : ( luckily it was summer !

It's been 22 years ago and I can still remember that old puffiness! It'll be worth it when you hold that little sweet bundle!
