typography day in vancouver
The mayor has declared it Typography Day today here in Vancouver. So to keep with the theme and be a bit of a type nerd, I thought I would post a page from an old vintage book I had found in a used book store last year. The 1962 book (titled "Books!" funny enough) has pages and pages of very cute typography – perfect for today!

Typography day?! That is seriously too cool.
One of our first projects in Design was to create a poster out of typography. I made my based on a quote from Stephen King and made a book completely out of typeface. I have a much more profound appreciation for typography designers after having to create something myself.
Thanks for sharing!
What a cute book - I love it! That page reminds me of this site: http://www.wordle.net/
Wow! A day for words! I don't think they'll come up with anything that smart for Las Vegas.
A whole day just for typography?! How cool is Vancouver at this point? I want to move there!
I love the saying that goes with this...there is just something totally fun about fonts!
