Collage: Capturing Bears
I am packing for our weekend camping trip today, so am digging through our closets and storage locker for all our necessities. It must be noted that, we aren't hardcore campers hiking through the backwoods eating twigs and berries and fishing with our bare hands. Au contraire mon frère... we have our cozy tent, camping stove, small air mattress (totally worth it), battery powered lanterns and a cooler full of food and drinks (no dehydrated goods here). Fingers crossed we will not encounter any bears on our trip (hasn't been a problem on our trips in the past)... but for sure, we will definitely NOT follow the example of the fellow in this collage anytime soon.

Have fun camping, I love camping :)
*oh, and mint chip ice cream is my favorite too, I just wanted to try something different ;)
How cute is your blog...just found you...and so happy to meet another Vancouver gal! We just got back from Deception pass...so where ever you go camping have fun! I am off to visit your etsy store...read some past posts...and add myself to your followers list!!!
haa haa! i LOVE camping!!! and this is soooo cute i can't even imagine getting that close to take pics of bears!! Have fun!
Have a great trip! Sounds like my kind of camping!
Hate camping--too much work and I'm too busy! Also hate bears--came pretty close to one on a mountain hike once.
Love your blog and collages, though!
I love camping! My son had an encounter with a baby bear that snuck up on him in Mammoth and was eating his PB&J sandwich. Thank goodness Mama Bear wasn't around. Ah, fond memories. That's what camping makes. Have a wonderful trip!
Is the bear sneezing? Cool collage! I love camping - but wouldn't want to meet any bears either. We did see a mom with a cub up a tree one time, but there were 15 ATV's around so we weren't to worried.
You aren't going to catch fish with bare hands?! Why not?
I love camping!!!! Lucky duck!
I love how the Bear is roaring!
Have a great time!
That's going to be so much fun! I didn't go camping at all this year, and I'm really disappointed in myself. So make sure and have an extra good time for me!
We just got back from a small vacation. It was great fun, but it's also nice to be home. Have fun camping, It'll give me time to catch up on your posts. ;)
My sister almost hit a bear the other day while driving to the grocery store. Poor bear.
Have a great time camping! Your collage is adorable.
Hun fun camping, you're braver than me.
My husband keeps trying to get me to rough it in the great outdoors but I seem to get bitten by absolutely EVERYTHING(got a nasty spider bite the other day) so you can understand my reluctance.
Can't wait to hear about your trip.
Here we have snakes, kangooroo, possums when we go camping... Keep away from bears and have a great time ;)
Have a fun, fun, camping weekend!
Oh yes, camping! I haven't been in a couple years--sounds like fun! I totally cheat too and bring lost of creature comforts, but hey you're still roughing it right? Hee hee! Oh I hope you roast some marshmallows--burn one up for me, I like 'em crispy!
PS I found a website that sells powdered wine for hardcore outdoorsy types! Crazy huh :)
Have a great weekend camping! Great collage too :)
Have a nice camping adventure! And seriously, I'm dying to see a real life bear on the wild, well maybe, not that close, but I love bears!
I'm one of those people who loves the IDEA of camping. And I might even be pleasant the first few hours of actually doing so . . . but a few bug bites and a bad night's sleep tangled up in a sack . . . and I'm done.
That's not true. I would totally go camping every weekend if it meant s'mores on a regular basis.
Oh wow I havn't been camping in years, Have fun!
I have not gone camping for a long time. It was fun once we got there and set up.
The kids used to camp out in the yard all the time! I have enough woods here, that it's just like the real thing :-)
One of the Youth ELder Camps we went to and my husband was a presenter at, we set up out tent and I got out the tape measure and measured from the pole to our tent. Off to Walmart for 2 25 foot outdoor entension cords and a box fan for my husband!
Everyone that knew him said we know which tent is yours! LOL
Have fun!

That's the kind of camping we do too.
When we camped at Glacier National Park, it was hard to have a good time because I was constantly worried about bears. I carried a canister of bear spray along with me and made so much noise when we hiked that it just got annoying! And apparently the bears did too, since we didn't run into any. :)
I am a camping with an air mattress girl all the way! If I don't get a good night of sleep I may become the only bear you run into on a camping trip.
