steveston village

One of my fave places to visit when I am being a tourist in my one town is Steveston Village. A small fishing community in the city of Richmond (which neighbors Vancouver), it's a great place to get some fresh fish and chips, frozen yogurt and walk along the docks and enjoy the sunset (wow, I just described a perfect date scenario, didn't I? Cue cheesy 80's saxophone interlude here). We managed to catch a glimpse of the sunset a few weeks ago.... so thought I would share the pic. Hope all your weekends are well!

ps. only a couple more days to enter the giveaway... stay tuned for the draw on Monday!!!

I adore Steveston...we hit it quiet often...I love that it is a fishing village! Your image is amazing! Makes me want to go and get a frozen yogurt....I have the weekend to myself...my husband took my girls up to Manning Park for the weekend...Its the Daddy Weekend where kids and dads only camp out... they have been doing this for 13 years already! I would so love to be a fly on the wall(tent)....freedom rules on these weekends! Happy Weekend to you!

Oh yes you have described a perfect date...particularly if you add in the saxophones!

Steveson sounds like a cool little place. It is very, very difficult to get good seafood in a land-locked state, so my mouth is always watering at the thought of a seaside restaurant that serves fresh fish. What a gorgeous photo too!

What a lovely photo. I've never been there--been to Vancouver though. Why did I have it in my head that you were camping this weekend? Oh maybe you're back to write the post, doh! The fish and chips and fozen yogurt sounds good too :)

That looks so lovely. I need a date in a place like that, although I could do without the sax music :)

I can see why this is one of your fave places. It looks quite magical! And there's something just so special about fresh fish & chips by the water. I'd probably choose icecream over the frozen yoghurt though. That's just me! Hope your week is off to a good start :)
