flower power
It's the last few days before Labour Day, which always feels to me like the end of summer... sigh (insert dreamy flashback of all my summer moments here). Is it just me, or did this summer just fly by? Anyhoo, feels like a perfect day to enjoy some of the summer blooms before they all start to slowly wilt away. These were taken this past week at Queen Elizabeth Park. I always get the urge to pick per-ty flowers when I see bunches of them together (don't worry, I actually didn't), but was just as happy to snap some pics instead. Hope everyone has a happy long weekend!

Soo pretty! Summer seems to have left us already! Fall is beginning to peer her head in! Have a great weekend.
Beautiful flowers... ah.. it's making me all smiley and relaxed now. Going to miss summer :)
Where did the summer go? I choose to consider September an honorary summer month :) Gorgeous flowers.
I am a huge fan of flower photos! Beautiful shots!
I will miss the flowers of spring and summer, until next year when they make another amazing appearance.
oooo these are beautiful!
i miss summer already :(
It sure did zip right by didn't it! We spent such a large part of the summer battling a fun little fungus our cat caught from a friend's cat...the summer just evaporated.
Love the flowers. Fuschias are so sweet. They remind me of ballerina skirts with little legs popping out of the bottom.
Summer sure does fly by. You've captured some beautiful images!
GORGEOUS! Those purple flowers are breath-taking. Wow. You are very talented!
It seems we only had one week of summer this year, it's been a total washout. Your pics are gorgeous though
Your photos are lovely. Thank you for posting such a pretty summer bouquet. Next there will be vibrant fall foliage to grace the landscape, but that's not around my immediate corner as it is 100 degrees out on our Florida patio right now. Ugh !
That lavender capture is great! Happy Labor Day weekend!

BEAUTIFUL photos!
I'm with you -- summer went by far too quickly this year. BUT, that chill in the air means I can start buying new sweaters! Wee!
Beautiful flower pictures. Seattle is getting rain today - hope you, my neighbor to the north, is faring better weather.
Ohhh, what a beautiful park! Great pictures.
Summer DID fly by this year, I can't believe it's September already!
But I always look forward to fall, and the start of the holiday seasons as well, so I'm willing... I guess.
