mini mushrooms

On one of our forest hikes, we came across this teeny tiny cluster of mushrooms at a base of a giant old tree. It reminded me so much of Alice in Wonderland, I couldn't resist and had to snap a pic. Okay, so a cheesy joke to accompany this photo:

Q: What did one mushrrom say to the other mushroom at the party?
A: You're a fun guy!

Yes, feel free to groan and roll your eyes at the joke... I don't know why, but it makes me snicker every time.
ps. my September giveaway starts this Monday!

What a lovely photo! I know they're fungus and all, but I just can't help but personify mushrooms. I think they're just adorable, and I like to imagine them with happy faces, dancing in the morning light. I love that this little family likes to stick together. So cute!

Adorable photo. All it needs is a tiny little elf or fairy peeking out from behind the mushroom cluster, then it would truly be magical !

Lol, I'll have to tell that joke to my hubby, he'll laugh.

That's a lovely pic. I've seen all kinds of them spring up by us too, must document them :)

I told that mushroom joke to my dad when I was in Grade 5 or something. He still tells it to everybody he knows!

What a great picture!! We've had a really wet summer, and there have been so many mushrooms on the lawn this year. We had some of those tiny ones too.
The apple pies are in the oven - coming for coffee?

I agree that mushrooms can be cute. However, I struggle to appreciate them sometimes because eating them is one of the most disgusting things I can think of. Yuck, blech, ptoowey! I know, I know, you can appreciate them without the pressure to eat them and you definitely shouldn't eat some random cute mushroom in the woods anyway. Ah, I digress. Cute photo :)

I love finding mushrooms! Out here in the desert it's a rarity, but it makes me think of Alice too.
