forest fun

I love walking in the woods... the fresh air, the smell of trees, the birds chirping... ahhh, makes me want to sing to all the forest creatures like Snow White did (but I will spare you, since I haven't had time to warm up... memememe). These are some pics from the walks we took while on Vancouver Island - at Pacific Rim Provincial Park and Cathedral Grove MacMillan Provincal Park in case you're wondering. And not to worry... the bear was spotted from our car while we were on the drive back... he was just walking on the side of the road.. maybe he was hitchhiking?

ps. don't forget to enter my giveaway here!

I've seen deer along side the road but never a bear! How cool!

hahah. I don't know if he would have made a good hitchhiker. I'm sure my boyfriend would have picked him up though. He wanted to steal the yaks from the zoo once.

My heart started beating at a rapid rate when I saw the photo of the bear and ASSumed that you had come in contact with one. Whew!

Walking in the woods can be a wonderful experience. We have a little trail that we visit. It's about a 20 minute walk from our house. It's amazing what a little oxygen can do for the spirit :)

PS The verification word is "sperm", No joke! How strange.

I love the woods! My family has a 56 acre farm in VA, half wooded, half crops. It's always been one of my favorite pastimes exploring and hiking out there! But sadly no bears!! Great post, I love the photos!!!

He is gorgeous! But where was he when I visited Vancouver? Not a bear in sight.

Love the woods too, but here in the UK the most exotic animal we see is a squirrel :)
