Whenever Roger and I travel, I usually am, by default, the "map" person. Whether it be on a road trip in the US, or getting around winding back streets in Saigon... for some reason the map and I seem to get along a wee bit better. And yes, I guess I am a bit old school... I love paper maps... but perhaps, I will eventually have to upgrade to becoming a GPS handler soon. We'll be heading on a short trip this weekend (location to be unveiled next week!)... so my next post will be the giveaway draw this Monday!
ps. don't forget to enter the giveaway to win a $20 Cabin + Cub gift certificate... last day to enter is Sunday!
I love maps, I study them all the time. I have two hanging above my computer. One 6 foot world map and a local area topography map. Old maps are my favorite, have started a small collection of those (need more!).
Looking forward to your posts next week detailing your weekend adventures! Luv the duck on the map..in our neck of the woods...right now..webbed feet is a good thing!
I love the paper maps or booklets myself. I don't want a GPS ever!! Did you know that MOST women can't read a map, so feel honored that you can. Have a safe and fun trip.
This really made me laugh! My hubby is rubbish with maps but has an amazing sense of direction - I am the complete opposite & adore maps & can spend hours looking at them! Nice piece.
I lovelovelove maps! Which is funny, because I love getting lost too. My fav is when they've been folded so long that they have holes on the folds - which are always right where you are going!
My name is Valerie and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have my own little company called Cabin + Cub where I work as a freelance designer and also create artsy and crafty items. I'm really bad with maps :( Fortunately my husband's iphone has been incredibly useful in this regard!

As an retired Geography teacher, I love maps of all kinds. But love my GPS even more

My wife Mary is a map genius. We just traveled to Memphis for the weekend & we took "to" & "from" directions.
Great image by-the-way.

Ah zut !!! Je me réveille trop tard de mon hibernation de blog. (I wake up too late from my blog hibernation...)
I love getting lost with a map. and then finding my way with said map, but really just becoming more lost, due to misreading said map.
I'd be lost without my GPS. Haha!! Oh man that was a good one.
Cute collage!
